How to use Descript

1. Install the desktop app from the official site and sign in.
2. Create a new project and drag an audio or video file into the workspace.
3. Wait for the automatic transcript to appear, then correct any mis-heard words inside the script window.
4. Delete a written word or silence marker; the matching sound or frame vanishes instantly.
5. Apply studio-style filters such as “Remove filler words” or “Studio Sound” from the right-hand panel.
6. Add titles, images, or extra clips on the timeline when video needs visual polish.
7. Export straight to MP4, WAV, or publish to YouTube, TikTok, or a shared link without leaving the programme.

Advantages

• Cloud-focused workflow – large projects rely on an internet connection for syncing; slow Wi-Fi stalls uploads and previews.
