Clueso is an online recorder that turns everyday screen activity into share-ready product demos with almost no editing work.

How to use Clueso

1. Open the dashboard and hit “New Recording” to launch the lightweight capture window.
2. Select the browser tab, full screen, or specific app you want to feature.
3. Walk through your product flow while Clueso quietly tracks clicks and cursor movement.
4. Stop the session; the tool auto-trims dead air and stitches highlights together.
5. Add captions, swap colours, or attach call-to-action buttons from the side panel.
6. Export a link or embed code for instant sharing on landing pages, help docs, or social posts.

What we noticed during regular use

Advantages

• Time-saving workflow: Our demo creation time dropped by roughly half, matching the claim in our own testing.
• Zero-install recorder: Everything runs in the browser, so I sidestepped the usual permission pop-ups and heavy desktop clients.
• Sensible automation: Automatic zooms around clicks and text fields make the final clip feel hand-edited.
• Clean sharing options: One generated URL carries the video, transcript, and interaction stats, keeping attachments out of emails.

Drawbacks

• Limited branding controls: At the moment I can swap colours and add a logo, yet deeper layout tweaks are off-limits.
• Audio quirks on multitask: Recording a second browser tab while streaming music introduced slight echo in the finished file.
• Team roles still basic: There’s only an owner and editor level, so fine-grained permissions for larger groups are missing.

Closing thoughts from a month of use

The ability to capture a walkthrough, trim fluff automatically, and publish within minutes has earned Clueso a permanent slot in my product toolkit. While I’d like tighter control over branding and smoother audio handling, the time saved outweighs those grumbles, especially during busy release cycles.
